I am glad that you managed to get a lot out of your trip, but sorry that the lousy weather detracted from the experience. I hope your next trip is better - don't give up on it! :)Jenny Woolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16881781466502273314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3319585156044214967.post-77600444600717476132012-06-25T19:57:30.922+01:002012-06-25T19:57:30.922+01:00I haver never been to the Lake District so even if...I haver never been to the Lake District so even if the weather was not perfect I enjoyed the tour :) DianeDianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782670749466305626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3319585156044214967.post-30585695216119852362012-06-20T13:32:04.127+01:002012-06-20T13:32:04.127+01:00It's lovely!! I'm not 2 hours away like you, but considering it's within a day's drive, I can't believe we haven't gone there yet. There is a renowned café there so you could have had an English meal!

We had the same problem about finding some where to eat on our recent trip to East Anglia, especially on the Sunday afternoon/evening. We had been to Sandringham, had a good lunch there, hoped to find somewhere to eat on our way back to hotel in Norwich. We didn't, upon driving into Norwich found a Loch Fyne but there was no where to park, the multi storey opposite was closed. We gave up, returned to the hotel and had an adequate bar snack there.

We are so spoilt for choice here in SW London that it makes us reluctant to go away.PixieMumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14717092173188052675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3319585156044214967.post-27900900740851993902012-06-16T22:27:46.760+01:002012-06-16T22:27:46.760+01:00Did you bring back any English goodies such as Cum...Did you bring back any English goodies such as Cumberland sausage or Lyth valley Damson jam?Thudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18320037763190473684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3319585156044214967.post-91782419312973475722012-06-16T19:24:14.724+01:002012-06-16T19:24:14.724+01:00I have never been to the lake district and I am no...I have never been to the lake district and I am not likely to now so I will sit here and enjoy your visits and pretend.
